Animal shelter came to raccoon's aid
Last week my son came upon what he thought was a dead raccoon in our basement. Upon hearing his voice, the raccoon moved a limb, so we knew it was still alive. I was told of this upon coming home from work. There was no one I could have called that night, so I figured it would be dead in the morning. It wasn't. My son inspected it and the raccoon was in horrible condition. I called six or seven places for help, and "no" they couldn't. One place wanted $75 to remove it. My son called PAWS (The Progessive Animal Welfare Society, located in Lynnwood). They came to our house. The gentleman was so kind. Told how badly the animal was injured, he carefully put it in a cage and then had to put it down. I am so impressed with the kind people at PAWS.
