BELLINGHAM -- Paul Hafford of the Bellingham Slam led all scorers with 26 points and the Slam defeated the Snohomish County Explosion 149-112 in International Basketball League play Saturday in Bellingham.
The Slam shot 57.5 percent from the field in the game -- 62 percent in the first half and 53 percent in the second.
"We're not making excuses," Explosion head coach Randy Redwine said. "We didn't play good enough defense. They had a lot of layups."
Western Washington University alum Tyler Amaya had 21 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Slam and teammate Jacob Stevenson added 20 points.
