Marysville-Pilchuck locked down during assault investigation

MARYSVILLE – Marysville-Pilchuck High School was placed in lockdown around noon as police investigated a possible assault in the area.

The lockdown was a precautionary measure, Marysville police Cmdr. Ralph Krusey said.

He said the assault occurred near the intersection of 100th Street NE and Shoultes Road and police have a suspect, he said.

Krusey declined to provide additional details as the investigation was still unfolding.

Earlier in the day, Lake Stevens High School and Highland Elementary were locked down for a couple of hours during a separate police incident at the north end of the lake.
