Treasures sale

If you think you can't afford high-quality, name-brand clothing from Jimmy Choo, St. Johns and Donna Karan, then think again.

There might be a perfect gently used designer or vintage outfit, pair of shoes, accessory, evening dress or leather coat at the sixth annual Closet Treasures Sale.

Most everything is priced under $50 and proceeds benefit the YWCA program, Dress for Success Seattle, which promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional clothing and career development tools.

The preview sale is from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center, 104 17th Ave. S., Seattle. A suggested donation of $35 provides first access to the event's clothing, refreshments and silent auction.

The public sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18. Admission is free for that. For more information, call 206-461-4474 or visit www.closettreasure sale.com.
