VICE PRESIDENT

Palin's experience beyond reproach

Um! One wonders why the Democrats, the "news making" media, and political pundits are so afraid of vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin. The nit-picking over her personal background is certainly disingenuous. There are no poor people elected to public office and especially in the U.S. Senate. She did not attend elitist high schools or universities or law schools. She did, however, evolve her administrative and management experience through a small business, a mayorship and a governorship, all requiring increasingly complex decisions. She is the most experienced of the four top candidates.

The only decisions senators make are to vote yes or no; and those decisions are determined mostly by "staffers" with an eye on how the vote affects their senator's re-election strategies. The management decision requirements by mayors and governors are pretty much the same regardless the size of the city or state; just ask Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson or Gov. Chris Gregoire. Sun Tzu said, "Managing many is the same as managing few. It is a matter of organization."

Sarah Palin is extremely well organized and had an 80-plus percent approval rating by Alaskan voters. That must be why those who are so critical of her are also so afraid of her as she is a woman who gets things done.
