V.I.P. CONCERT

Everett Symphony offers great experience

This is a letter of thanks to the Everett Symphony on behalf of the area's blind and partially sighted. On Nov. 6, the Everett Central Lions Club sponsored a V.I.P. (Visually Impaired Person's) Concert in cooperation with the Everett Symphony Orchestra. It was a very special evening event. The informality of the Nov. 6 dress rehearsal of the symphony's pops concert gave the blind children an opportunity to go on stage and meet Conductor Paul Cobb and "see" the instruments close up.

For the blind and partially sighted adults it was a wonderful evening they rarely experience. We particularly want to thank the Everett Symphony for being so generous and accepting of the idea presented to them by our Lions Club. I know the symphony enjoyed playing for such an appreciative audience.
