Whether you are doing business in Europe or not this program will provide a glimpse into the ongoing EU crisis and how it affects American business interests from the German perspective. Experts from Germany and the European Union will present an update on the current European economic situation with focus on the Euro as a currency and the lead role Germany is playing in managing the current economic crisis. Peter Rothen took up the position as Germany’s Consul General in San Francisco in July, 2009. Proceeding this appointment, he spent a year at Harvard University as Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. He is accompanied by his wife Gerlind and their daughter Patricia, while their two sons attend university in Germany. Markus Russ studied Political Science at the University of German Federal Army in Munich and is the current Partner & CEO at Consilius Europe. Dr. John Gatto currently serves as President and CEO of NRW.INVEST (North America LLC), the economic development agency of the German Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Together with his Chicago based team he identifies U.S. and Canadian companies planning expansion in Europe and assists them in their site selection process. Michael Kordus received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of German Armed Forces. He later received a Certificate of Business Informatics from the Distance Teaching University AKAD. He is the currently responsible for strategic development and implementation of FDI projects in the USA, Canada and West Europe in his role as Head of Division for NRW Invest at the home office. ______________________________________________ Registration: Payment is required in advance to secure your spot at the program.
