Budweiser Clydesdales at Evergreen State Fairgrounds

November 23, 2012
Arlene Runberg, left, and Marcie Larson react as they meet Carter, one of ten Budweiser Clydesdales currently staying at the stables at the Evergreen State Fair grounds Friday afternoon. Both women came to the stables with their fellow residents at the Harbour Pointe Retirement & Assisted Living Center in Mukilteo to see the famous horses. The Clydesdales will be harnessed and hitched to the red beer wagon during an event open to the public Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walmart in Arlington. The team will also be at the Whidbey Naval Air Station for a closed event on Saturday. The public can see the Clydesdales at the stables from 9 a.m. to approximately noon on Saturday and Sunday. The team travels with ten Clydesdales, but only eight are hitched to the wagon. The team is also traveling with one of the Budweiser Dalmatians. (Mark Mulligan / The Herald)
