Habitat: Found in standing water among trees
Size: Length, 18.5 inches; 30 inch wingspan
Fact: Wood ducks are unusual for ducks, in that they nest in trees. When the ducklings are ready, they jump from the nest. They can fall up to 290 feet without injury.
