Double-crested cormorant
Habitat: Saltwater along rocky coasts
Size: Length 33 inches; wingspan 52 inches
Fact: Double-crested cormorants are the most common cormorant. When they swim, they sit low in the water and often only their long neck rises above the surface. They can often be seen perched with their wings held out, which aids in drying their feathers.
