Man suffers burns in Everett basement fire
EVERETT - A man caught in a basement fire suffered burns on 90 percent of his body before Everett firefighters pulled him to safety Friday night.
No one else was injured in the fire, which started about 11:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Baker Avenue, an Everett Fire Department official said. Damage to the house was estimated at about $30,000.
Firefighters called in the Everett Police Department to investigate a supply of drugs they found in the house, the official said. Police officials could not be reached for comment.
The victim suffered mostly second-degree burns and some third-degree burns. He was airlifted to the Harborview Medical Center burn unit in Seattle for treatment.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Marysville: Police seek driver after collisions
Police are looking for the driver of a large gray car who hit both a parked car and a moving car Saturday morning, causing the moving car to roll over.
The collisions happened about 8:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of 64th Street NE, a Marysville Police Department spokesman said. The driver of the wrecked car was transported to Providence Everett Medical Center's Colby Campus with n injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police are looking for a white male driving an old, large, gray, four-door car. The car may have damage to its front passenger side, police said. Anyone who sees this car should call 911.
Darrington: Crews called to vehicle wreck
Medics and emergency personnel were responding Saturday night to the scene of a vehicle accident near Darrington.
One person was going to be airlifted, but the airlift was called off because of weather. Another victim had to be extricated from the wreckage. No other details were available.
