Two fires burn Everett trailers

EVERETT - Firefighters were called to douse two trailer fires on Sunday.

Both fires are under investigation, Everett Fire Battalion Chief Dave Neyens said.

The first fire burned a 24-foot travel trailer at 1131 Pine St. in north Everett. Fire crews were called just after 10 a.m.

No one was at home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000 and the trailer was a total loss, Neyens said.

The second fire call came at 5:21 p.m. at 9201 Fourth Ave. W. in south Everett.

The owner of a 40-foot mobile home told fire crews he left for 15 minutes and returned to find his home ablaze, Neyens said.

Damage to the mid-1960s mobile home was estimated to be $5,000, Neyens said.
