The Klickitat, built in 1927, was successfully repaired overnight in a dry dock at Todd Shipyard in Seattle, said Traci Brewer-Rogstad, director of marine operations for the ferry system. The six-inch crack was repaired and a section of hull plating replaced at a cost of about $50,000. The ferry is scheduled to resume service at 2:15 p.m., starting in Port Townsend, Brewer-Rogstad said. There has been no service on the run between Port Townsend and Whidbey Island since the ferry was taken out of service on Monday because there were no backup ferries available.
