Guess the 787's first flight correctly and win!

When will 787 fly? Boeing won't say 7/24/07

Contest: Can you guess the 787's first flight?

Posted at 9:13 am by Michelle Dunlop

"Late August or September" -- that has long been the official answer of when the Boeing Co.'s Dreamliner will make its first flight.

I think readers can do better than that.

I've got some 787 collectibles (such as the Dreamliner glider pictured in blog entry, a 787 premier pin or DVD) to give to blog readers who submit the winning entries to the following:

1) Provide the date and time (Pacific Standard Time) of the 787's first flight.

2) How long (minutes and hours) will the Dreamliner's first flight last?

I'll hand out a prize for each question. The closest correct answer wins. If I receive more than one correct answer, I'll reward the person who submits a response first.

Send an e-mail with "787 contest" as the subject to Michelle Dunlop with your guesses.

The winners will be contacted via e-mail.
