Barry Bonds continued his pursuit of baseball's all-time home run record amid new allegations that he used steroids to bulk up.

We're not saying that we believe he was juiced up, but it is a little weird when a man's head grows large enough to be a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Bonds has been engaging in some verbal sparring over the steroid allegations with Bob Costas, giving sports fans a chance to finally find out if the universe can handle such an epic collision of egos.

Blake Lewis, who rose from obscurity in Bothell to a second-place finish on "American Idol," is back in the area for a concert tonight, along with the rest of the "Idol" finalists.

Saying "I've got to go back and play my roots," Lewis plans to take his beatboxing act to Mill Creek when the "Idol" tour ends.

For confused readers over at the Mill Creek Country Club, beatboxing is the art of vocal percussion, often found in hip-hop music. And hip-hop is ... oh, never mind.
