Detectives are asking anyone with information that might lead to an arrest to come forward, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said. The latest robbery occurred at about 5:20 a.m. Thursday morning in the 1800 block of Silver Lake Road, he said. A man, armed with what police believe was a knife, approached the owner of the espresso stand as she was getting supplies from an adjacent building, Goetz said. The man held the knife to her throat and demanded money. The pair struggled and the suspect ran away. The woman, 39, suffered minor cuts, Goetz said. “I’m sure she’s pretty upset about the whole incident,” he said. A man attempted to rob the same coffee stand Wednesday, Goetz said. In that case, a white man in his 20s, described as 5-feet 9-inches tall with dirty blond hair, walked up to the stand and demanded money. He ran off without taking any money. The 19-year-old barista told police the man was wearing a cream-colored sweatshirt, a khaki-colored hat and blue jeans. On Oct. 7, a stand in the 1800 block of Everett Avenue was held up. The suspect in that robbery is described as about 30 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing about 140 pound, with blond hair and blond facial hair, possibly a goatee. He was wearing a dark gray jacket and dark-colored baseball hat. In the early morning of Sept. 17, an espresso stand in the 3100 block of Broadway was robbed. That suspect was described as about 35-years-old, 5-feet 10-inches tall with a light brown or blond beard. He was wearing a hat, a blue shirt with an unknown logo and was driving a red Honda Accord. Police next week hope to develop sketches of the suspects, Goetz said. While they can’t be certain is the suspects are the same person, there are similarities in the suspects’ descriptions and mannerisms. Until a suspect is arrested, Goetz warned baristas to be alert. “Be cautious in your approach if someone demands money or tries to rob you,” he said.
