WATCHMEN

My church seeks to save homosexuals

I would like to respond to Tuesday's letter from a local pastor, "Such hatred is un-Christian":

"Bigotry against God's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered children is just as evil, and the Bible's few negative references to same-gender sexual acts does not change that fact. The hatred espoused by Watchmen on the Walls and those in our local communities who ally themselves with them is un-Christian and should be roundly condemned by all who call Jesus Christ Lord and Savior."

The pastor teaches the word of God, right? He is a Christian and I'm a Christian, but I'm just trying to figure out if he and I have the same Bible. My Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:9 that homosexuality is un-Christian. In that case how can they be the Children of God? So, is he Christian or not? I am just curious, with all due respect.

Personally, I do not support violence against homosexuals or anyone else. Whoever does it, does not follow the word of Christ, but I will speak out against it because I will not deflect from the truth.

I am Russian and going to a Russian church which does not support homosexuals. Our pastor preaches that we need to try to save homosexuals, not beat them up. And I will attend Watchmen on Walls conference in Lynnwood, as I did last year.
