MARYSVILLE

Fire chief's dedication truly appreciated

Two weeks ago, my wife and I smelled smoke coming from the greenbelt behind out house. Upon investigating, we found a burning pile of grass clippings.

While my neighbor and I worked to put out the fire, Greg Corn, fire chief for the Marysville Fire District, showed up to help. When I asked how he found us, he replied that he was on his way home when he smelled smoke and came to investigate.

Greg Corn is a credit to his department and a wonderful example to his fellow fire fighters. We want to thank him for his commitment and we want to thank all of the firefighters who do their jobs day-in and day-out without thanks. You are truly heros.
