Hot peppers, the new painkiller? Scientists think so. The numbing effects of peppers are being tested on surgery patients to see if they experience less pain post surgery. The researchers may have been eating a bit too much Mexican food. And the brave folks who volunteered to have extract of habanero rubbed on open wound? They deserve some sort of medical award for bravery.
