Football Edmonds-Woodway quarterback Kyle McCartney completed 11 of 15 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 57 yards in a 37-13 win over Snohomish.
Volleyball While battling strep throat, Patti Reeves of Archbishop Murphy had 139 assists in four matches, including 23 in a 3-0 win over West Valley of Spokane, as the Wildcats finished fifth in the 2A state tournament.
Girls soccer Emma Nelson of Archbishop Murphy scored the game-winning penalty kick in a shootout as the Wildcats beat Cedarcrest 1-0 in a 2A state quarterfinal game.
Girls swimming Snohomish's Emily Ferreira and Jackson's Alana Pazevic each won state championships in automatic All-America times in the 4A meet. Ferreira won the 100-yard breaststroke in one minute, 4.84 seconds. Pazevic won the 100 freestyle in 51.75 seconds.
