Thursday's notes

Notes from today's practice:

- Expect to see Shayne Barrie in goal tomorrow night against Seattle. Leland Irving should be back from the Canada-Russia Challenge in time for the game. However, Irving is scheduled to be in goal tonight against the Russians in Medicine Hat, then has to travel back to Everett tomorrow, so he can use the day off. Plus Barrie is due for another start.

- Everyone else should be available tomorrow. Both right wing Dan Gendur (shoulder) and defenseman Dane Crowley (concussion) are ready to go after their injuries, and center Zach Hamill arrived safely back from Wednesday's Canada-Rusia Challenge game. Center Vitali Karamnov is playing for the Russians tonight, but expected to make it back in time for the game.

- Everett had three prospects practice with the team today. Goaltender Kent Simpson and center Byron Froese are on hand as insurance against the late arrival of Irving and Karamnov and will travel with the team this weekend. The 15-year-old Simpson, the team's first-round pick in this year's bantam draft, is seeing lots of shots playing for a struggling South Side Athletic Club Bulldogs team in the Rural and Edmonton Midget 15-year-old League. The 16-year-old Froese, a non-drafted listed player, is averaging more than a point per game for the Pembina Valley Hawks of the Manitoba Midget AAA League. The other prospect is 15-year-old forward Ryan Doner. Doner, another undrafted player and a Mukilteo resident, impressed during rookie camp. He's playing for the Kent Valley Selects Midget AAA team.

- If you want a cowbell tomorrow you'd better arrive early. The team's only giving out 1,000 at the door and a full house is expected.
