Red Cross to open emergency shelter in Lynnwood

LYNNWOOD – Snohomish County Red Cross officials plan to open an emergency shelter for people looking for a dry and warm place to get out of the rain.

The World Harvester Family Church at 20830 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood was scheduled to open at 1 p.m., officials said.

People should bring personal items such as toiletries, a pillow, a comforter or blanket, and toys or stuffed animals for small children, said Kris Krischano, a Red Cross spokesman.

The Red Cross will provide cots, blankets and food.

For more information, call the chapter’s Emergency Operation Center number at 425-252-4103.
