STORM DAMAGE

Entire hill road likely to collapse

Regarding the slide damage on Seattle Hill Road:

I have to wonder when the entire road will fall to the valley floor, what with removal of all the trees from the first bend in the road to build houses, which will also forever be in danger of sliding to the valley floor.

Not only did the developers take away one of the prettiest spots to drive through, now they have created an area that in all likelihood will become flood prone and cost everyone, not only home purchasers, by taking away one of the arterial roads that takes traffic off Highway 9, Cathcart Way, and U.S. 2 to I-5. Remember how long it took for the River Road to reopen?
