Goforth, who will lead the union that represents engineers and technical workers at the Boeing Co., was hired after a six-month search. He succeeds Charles Bofferding. "We are very pleased to have Ray Goforth as our new executive director," said Cynthia Cole, SPEEAA preisent. "It's a new start at SPEEA." Goforth, a union representative and adviser at Local 17 of the International Federaltion of Professional and Technical Engineers in Seattle, is an experienced negotiator, Cole said. He is a graduate of the University of Washington law school. As the union's executive director, Goforth will represent 24,050 workers
