Athletes of the Week

Girls basketball Britt Harris of Marysville Pilchuck scored 19 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a 47-46 loss to Lake Stevens, scored 16 points and had 15 rebounds in a 56-48 win over Monroe and had a team-high 13 points in a 46-45 win over Snohomish.

Boys basketball Cole Carpenter of Arlington scored seven of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter of a 67-64 win over Everett and tallied 20 points in a 70-68 overtime win over Stanwood.

Girls bowling Sara Elliott of Cascade rolled a perfect 300 game and a 745 series to win the individual championship at the 4A Tri-District meet.

Wrestling Josh Marson of Kamiak, making his first varsity appearance of the season, pinned his opponent at 215 pounds to clinch the Knights' 35-28 win over Kamiak in the Wesco South championship dual meet.

Boys swimming Patrick Hunzinger of Kamiak swam state qualifying times of two minutes, 3.37 seconds in the 200-yard individual medley and 56.51 seconds in the 100 backstroke and swam on the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams, which both posted state times, in a 109-77 win over Shorewood in the Wesco South championship dual meet.
