Dawn Herrick, a professional mechanical engineer with CDi Engineers in Lynnwood, has earned her fire protection engineer license.

Terri Stefnik, Kim Westlund, Stacy Sharpe, Casandra Sargent and Hayley McClellan have been promoted at Frontier Bank. Stefnik, a vice president who has been with the bank for 14 years, is the new marketing and public relations manager for the bank. Westlund is a new assistant vice president and works as the operations manager at the bank's Lynnwood office. Sharpe was promoted to operations officer at the bank's Monroe office. Sargent was promoted to new accounts officer at the Marysville office. McClellan, who began her banking career 18 years ago with Frontier, is now a loan support officer with the bank's Everett real estate department.

Terry McTigue has been named to the private banking officer for Coastal Community Bank's Stanwood and Camano Island branches. Coastal Community Bank has a new full service branch under construction on Highway 532 in Stanwood, in addition to the office on Camano Island at Terry's Corner.

Smokey Point Cycle Barn plans to sponsor an event to benefit Locks of Love, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cycle Barn, 3131 A1 Smokey Point Drive, Arlington. Locks of Love uses donated hair to make hair pieces for cancer patients. Karen Bray of Top Notch Barber Styling plans to donate her work and provide haircuts for those who donate their long hair to Locks of Love. Those who want to support the charity, but lack the long hair can make a financial donation to Locks of Love at the event.

Off-duty personnel from the Lake Stevens Fire Department plan to raise funds by delivering Valentine's Day flowers for Hearts on Fire. Flowers need to be ordered from the Lake Stevens Haggen Food & Pharmacy, 8915 Market Place NE. Call 425-377-7100. Deliveries will be made from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Valentine's Day. Advance orders are requested to ensure the off-duty personnel can make as many deliveries as possible. Haggen is donating the delivery fees to the fire department. Proceeds will go to the fire department's Aid Medic Fund, which uses funds to obtain additional equipment for emergency medical services crews. The Marysville John L. Scott office recently made a donation to the foster care program at Compass Health. Employees of John L. Scott donated new wrapped gifts for 30 children in December. The gifts were given to children who receive full-time or weekend foster care through Compass Health.
