The bookmobile is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays at Albertson's grocery, 520 128th St. SW, Everett. The Bookmobile continues a weekly stop from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Voyager Middle School, 11711 Fourth Ave. W., Everett. Quilts needed for wounded veterans The Stanwood-Camano Hero Quilters group is looking for more help to supply quilts to a growing number of wounded soldiers returning to Fort Lewis. The quilt group meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Stanwood Community and Senior Center, 7430 276th St. NW, Stanwood. Dance group's gala funds scholarships Everett Dance Theatre plans a scholarship benefit gala set for 8 p.m. March 28 at the Snohomish County PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett. Advanced tickets for A Touch of Class gala are available in advance at the dance studio, 7207 Evergreen Way Suite K, Everett. The gala benefits scholarships for students who are unable to afford dance classes. EquiFriends needs more volunteers EquiFriends, a therapeutic horseback riding program in Snohomish, is looking for more volunteers to work with the nonprofit organization's horses and clients. Food bank to host informational tours Volunteers of America Western Washington Everett Food Bank has scheduled Stories of Hope informational tours set for 8 to 9 a.m. today, April 10, 17, May 15 and 22 in Everett. Teaching students offered scholarship Sno-Isle Unit 22 of the Washington State School Retirees Association offers a $1,000 renewable scholarship to a prospective teacher candidate. Interested students already have been accepted into the education department at any four-year state university. Funds will be available for the 2008-2009 academic year. Applicants must be state residents with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Deadline for the receipt of applications is June 15. For more information and an application, call 425-347-2719. Knitting group to serve hospice A new knitting group making shawls for Providence Hospice plans to meet from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 29 at the Evergreen branch of Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way.
