Miami Dolphins' Taylor gives 'Dancing' on TV a spin 3/17/08

Plunge into unknown waters

If today's your birthday, the horoscope advises you to "plunge into unknown waters and learn something new." Such as how to get through an entire St. Patrick's Day without eating anything dyed green.

Here are a couple other ideas:

Learn to dance. That's what Miami Dolphins defensive end and "Dancing with the Stars" competitor Jason Taylor is doing with his offseason.

Taylor says he thinks the new skills will make him more agile on the football field. Plus, he'll know just how to twirl and dip his teammates when it's time for a celebratory dance in the end zone.

Change your tactics. Instead of selling candy for fundraisers, some local students have been selling bags of a Lynnwood company's gourmet coffee.

For maximum sales, students should make their rounds early, when caffeine-deprived potential buyers could probably be persuaded to purchase Folgers crystals for a premium price.

Try a new recipe. Thoughtful readers have provided two options sure to win you friends: peanut butter bundt cake and peanut butter balls.

Enjoy your dessert in moderation, though, or you might also have to learn how to use a sewing machine so you can let out the waist on your pants.
