    Prius owners: Speak up!

Posted at 4:42 pm by Sarah Jackson

    I just took a ride in a co-worker’s brand new, souped-up, charcoal-grey Prius.

    Wow.

Yes, it’s just a car, a mere Toyota.

But it’s a hybrid, which is still something of a novelty to me.

What impressed me most, of course, were all the bells and whistles, namely the master computer planted in the dashboard, featuring everything from touch-screen heating controls to GPS navigation. One setting even displays cool graphics that show when the car is using gas or just battery.

If you’re lucky enough to buy a new green car, you might check out the Prius options here.

    I did.

They start at $21,100, which is less than I would have thought. And with biodiesel prices soaring to more than $4 in some areas, maybe it’s the right choice for right now.

I’m wondering, however: What are the pluses and minuses of Priuses? Everything, even awesome green things, especially awesome green things, have pros and cons.

Please comment below or write me here to share your Prius-related love or hate or just practical wisdom.
