"We committed eight errors," Nicholson said. "We've got some things to work on." One thing Nicholson wouldn't like to re-do is the outcome. Jackson used a seven-run explosion in the third inning to take control of the game, eventually taking a 13-5 non-conference victory at home. Jackson's Greg Cranson was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and five RBI. Danny Oh and Brandon Wang each were 3-for-4 as well. With the bases loaded in the third inning, Cranson hit a ball off the right field wall to clear the bases, allowing Jackson to cut the Bruins' lead to 4-3. The Timberwolves tacked on four more runs to take a 7-4 lead and never trailed again. Nick Kiel relieved in the third to pick up the win for Jackson, which improved to 2-0 overall.
