Blogging about videos: Modest Mouse, Radiohead, the Gutter Twins

For this week's batch of videos, we've got a poor clip from Modest Mouse, a great cover by Radiohead and David Letterman dreaming of a roadtrip with the Gutter Twins, a Seattle act.

Dig it:

Modest Mouse - "Fly Trapped in a Jar" - Video

What were the guys from Modest Mouse thinking when they signed off on this new video? lt looks like it was co-produced by Dr. Seuss and the guys from South Park, using a low budget. Which is to say, it looks bad. Still, it's a pretty good song.

Radiohead - "Nobody Does It Better" - Live

The South Whidbey High School jazz ensemble intends to play selections from the James Bond film series during a concert this Saturday, and may trot out a version "Nobody Does It Better," the song popularized by Carly Simon. So, to tie into that, here's another cover of that song, this one from Radiohead.

The Gutter Twins - "Idle Hands" - Live

Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan - formerly of the Afghan Whigs and Screaming Trees, respectively - deal out one of the more aggro songs from their new album, "Saturnalia." "God I enjoyed that," David Letterman says after the song ends. "Would you guys be available to drive cross country with me? I think it'd be a lot of fun, don't you? A lot of fighting and stuff?" Oh, that Letterman!
