Mark Bishop and Dakota Bunce each hit home runs in a four-run top of the seventh-inning rally to lift the Red Wolves to a 9-8 victory over Lakewood in a Cascade Conference game. With the victory, Cedarcrest (4-1 in league, 4-1 overall) took sole possession of first place in the conference. "It was a good comeback," Lakewood head coach Larry Delaney said. "We'd just scored three in the bottom of the sixth to take our first lead of the day, and they answered back with four runs." With Cedarcrest trailing 8-5, Bunce led off the seventh inning with a solo home run. The next batter was hit by a pitch and Bishop, who hit a solo home run in the second, followed with a tying two-run homer. Four batters later the Red Wolves had no outs and runners at first and third with designated hitter Bernie Childs at the plate. Childs hit a sacrifice fly to give Cedarcrest the lead. "We didn't have an answer for them in the bottom of the seventh," Delaney said. "They played well, hit three long balls and came up with the big hits."
