One more hearing on waterway buffers
The Lake Stevens City Council has scheduled another public hearing Monday to discuss possible expansion of no-build zones around city waterways.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Lake Stevens School District Educational Services Center, 12309 22nd Street NE.
Overall, the proposed rules expand no-build zones around streams and wetlands, but with flexibility built in for development that uses environmentally friendly methods. The council is currently scheduled to make a decision April 7.
