LIFE SAVING

Consider donating bone marrow

Here's an investment opportunity of a lifetime: register to donate bone marrow! Your investment may save a life and that's an exceedingly high rate of return in any economy. (Monday article, "Lake Stevens father risks leukemia if he can't find a bone marrow donor.")

If more than 1,000 firefighters in full gear followed by 5,300 people from the community can climb 1,311 stairs to raise funds to cure leukemia, that's a cause to get behind! (The Herald, March 1 and 19.)

A part of the cause is providing people battling leukemia a chance to survive. That chance may be in your bone marrow. Please register to donate bone marrow by contacting the Puget Sound Blood Center or online, psbc.org/programs/marrow.htm.
