Concerts: Sub Pop celebrates its 20th; classic rock takes over Woodinville

Posted at 8:52 am

A freaking load of concerts go on sale for shows at the Chateau Ste. Michelle in Woodinville this weekend, and sadly, I’ve got no presale passwords.

Apparently, to get the password, you need to join the vintage reserve club. That costs anywhere from $69.66 to $163.12. Ridonkulous, I know.

But hey, if you’re already a member and feeling generous, stick the passwords in the comments section below.

All those Woodinville shows basically feature classic rock artists — fine bands, but no one who’s really firing on all cylinders.

For that type of artist, I recommend turning to the awesome Sub Pop 20th anniversary shows in July, which gather acts from the Seattle label’s classic alums — a reformed Green River, Mudhoney — and its current roster, including Wolf Parade, Flight of the Conchords and Iron & Wine.

Let’s start with the non-wine-related shows first:

  • Sub Pop 20, at Concerts at Marymoor, Redmond. No presale that I know of. Tickets for the July 12 and 13 shows on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, $30 to $60.

  • Ringo Starr and His All Star Band, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $55 to $99.50. As you know, no password for this one. Tickets for the July 19 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Gipsy Kings, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $49.50 to $89.50. No password right now. Tickets for the Aug. 22 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Smokey Robinson, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $49.50 to $89.50. No password right now. Tickets for the Aug. 1 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Chris Isaak, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $45 to $69.50. No password right now. Tickets for the July 24 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • B.B. King, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $49.50 to $89.50. No password right now. Tickets for the July 3 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Earth, Wind and Fire, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $52.50 to $99.50. No password right now. Tickets for the June 28 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Lyle Lovett, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $46 to $78.50. No password right now. Tickets for the July 25 show on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.

  • Chicago, at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery, Woodinville, presale from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, $49.50 to $79.50. No password right now. Tickets for the Aug. 23 and 24 shows on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday.
