Boeing rolls out 777 Freighter

The Boeing Co. towed its first 777 Freighter out of the factory in Everett and onto the flight line Tuesday night.

The company will continue to work on the new cargo jet in preparation for the freighter's first flight this summer. Boeing has won 78 orders for its latest cargo plane, which is based on the 777-200 Longer Range passenger plane. It is built on the same production line as the rest of Boeing's 777 passenger jets.

Boeing intends to deliver the first 777 Freighter to launch customer Air France in the fourth quarter of this year.
