Free event celebrates Dance Week

This week you've got a good reason to dance.

It's National Dance Week, and Reflections School of Dance and the Elijah Commission are helping to celebrate by presenting a free evening of dance performance that will include most of what dance has to offer: ballet, jazz, hip hop and more.

This free event begins at 7:30 tonight at the Snohomish County PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett.

The dance teams include the Cerulean Dance Company, Revolution Dance Team, Friday Crew and Sparkettes Dance Team from Reflections School of Dance, along with other special guest artist friends.

Reflections School of Dance, based in Snohomish, believes it is offering a way for the community to appreciate dance in all its genres and to increase awareness for those who might not get the opportunity to experience a live performance.

Any donations raised after the event go toward upcoming and ongoing mission dance trips, outreach performances and scholarships to low-income and at-risk youth.
