Two for the show: Fiction writers Daniel Orozzco and Maya Sonenberg will give a free reading of their works at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Everett Community College's Russell Day Gallery in conjunction with the Possession Sound Writer's Series at the college.

Orozco, who teaches creative writing at the University of Idaho, has had work appear in "Best American Essays," "Best American Short Stories," "Best American Mystery Stories" and Pushcart Prize anthologies, as well as in Harper's Magazine and Zoetrope.

Sonenberg directs the creative writing program at the University of Washington. Her first collection was called "Cartographies" and a second collection, "Voices from the Blue Hotel," was published in 2006. Both writers have received many literature prizes.

A panel discussion on the art of fiction precedes the reading at 5:30 p.m. in Whitehorse Hall, Room 353. The Parks Student Union Building at Everett Community College is at 2000 Tower St. For more information, contact EvCC English instructor Kevin Craft at 425-388-9395 or kcraft@everettcc.edu.
