Donate clothes to women in need

Clothing is being collected through May 12 to provide women from emergency shelters and housing programs with on-the-job wardrobes. Volunteers are needed to assist the women during the Queen, It's a New Day makeover event in May.

To donate clothing, call 425-252-6484 at Life Changes Ministry Church, 2532 Virginia Ave., Everett.

Share ideas for Monroe center

Join the discussion on bringing a performing arts, events and conference center to Monroe. Share thoughts about what the center should be like at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the YMCA, 14090 Fryelands Blvd., Monroe.

Strawberry Festival talent show tryouts

The 2008 Marysville Strawberry Festival Talent Show is 6:30 p.m. June 19, and organizers are looking for contestants who can sing, dance, play instruments, act or make people laugh.

Auditions will be at the Marysville-Pilchuck High School auditorium from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. May 13 and 14. Contestants of all ages in both solo or group performances are welcome.

Mill Creek trash pickers wanted

Trash pickers and bags are being provided to volunteer groups who want to clean up garbage along roads and trails in Mill Creek. Volunteers must sign a waiver and pick up their own supplies. Families, Scouts, church groups and other community organizations are encouraged to participate.

Historic Everett seeks estate items

Contribute antiques or other treasures to help raise funds for Historic Everett projects and programs.
