Indiana family becomes Seahawks fans over names

When the Seahawks drafted two Schmitts in last weekend's NFL draft, the team made immediate fans of the Schmitt family of Bedford, Ind.

Rich and Leslie Schmitt have a son and daughter by the names of -- you guessed it -- Owen and Tylor, respectively. That's one letter away from a perfect duplication of the Seahawks' draft picks, fullback Owen Schmitt and long-snapper Tyler Schmitt.

In an e-mail to The Herald, Rich Schmitt declared his change of allegience: "We live in Bedford, Indiana, and used to be huge Colts fans. Oh, how things change!! We are on the hunt for new Seahawk gear as the coincidence is something we cannot ignore," Schmitt wrote. "The Owen/Tylor team works really well for us and we hope Seattle's new Schmitt team has just as much success. Thank you and GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!"
