Final baseball rankings of the season

Posted at 1:12 pm by Mike Cane, Herald Writer

Now that the postseason is underway, baseball action is getting more intense. Lem Elway added to the excitement by releasing his final Washington High School Baseball Poll of the year earlier today.

In Class 4A, Snohomish and Mountlake Terrace are ranked. If they win tonight they’ll play for the District 1 championship 2 p.m. Saturday at Everett Memorial Stadium.

I’ve seen both teams in the past week. They’re loaded with pitching, defense and talented hitters. Snohomish, the 2007 state runnerup, has a major edge in playoff experience though.

In 2A, Lakewood and Cedarcrest of the Cascade Conference made it into the rankings.

Here are the complete rankings.
