Everett surprises Ferndale; one win from 3A state berth

MOUNT VERNON -- Everett wasn't intimidated by a Ferndale team that had won 11 more games than it had and was ranked No. 3 in the state in the coaches' poll, and now the Seagulls will play in the winner-to-state 3A District 1 championship game.

The Seagulls scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning.
