Woman suspected of shooting boyfriend in hip

GRANITE FALLS – A woman is suspected of shooting her boyfriend in the hip during an argument early this morning near Granite Falls, police said.

The man, 56, was treated and released at Providence Everett Medical Center, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

The woman, 40, was arrested and is expected to be booked later today into the Snohomish County Jail.

The dispute occurred around 1:40 a.m. in the 11900 block of 167th Drive NE, Hover said.

The man called 911 and told dispatchers his girlfriend has fired three shots at him, she said.

One of the bullets apparently hit him in the hip.
