Arlington scored seven runs in the second inning en route to a 9-0 victory over Cascade in the Wesco North game. "We gave up three walks and four hits (in the second)," Cascade coach Wendy Close said. That was too much for a Cascade team that managed just two hits all game. Arlington's Lisa Allen hit a three-run double in the second inning. Kristin Wright hit a triple, one of nine hits for Arlington. Cascade can still clinch a playoff berth today if it defeats Snohomish or if Lake Stevens loses to Everett. "We need to win tommorrow," Close said. Monroe's Jordan Birch pitched a one-hitter, striking out 13 in the Wesco North game. Monroe, the Wesco North champion, begins 4A District 1 playoff competition next Thursday.
