FYI

Note to readers

Starting this week, The Herald will run full schedules for local movie theaters on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On other days, The Herald will list a phone directory of theaters that readers can call for movie times.

At www.heraldnet.com, you'll find movie schedules linked to reviews and plot summaries.

Also, a full set of stock market listings will run in the business section on Saturday. Other days, the Market Report will carry a daily stocks summary from the Associated Press along with listings for regional stocks, selected mutual funds and other financial data. Stock prices can be checked every day at any time at www.heraldnet.com.

Both of these changes will reduce the amount of space The Herald devotes to listings that are not timely or unique to the newspaper.

We'll publish your summer fun events

The Herald wants information on your events for our summer activity guide, Splash, which will be published in June.

Send details on concert series, camps and community classes, fairs and festivals, Fourth of July events, and farmers markets to features editorial assistant Andrea McInnis at amcinnis@heraldnet.com or call 425-339-3479.

Submission deadline is May 22.

Drug awareness presentation set

The Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force wants to make sure Arlington residents know the dangers of drug abuse.

A presentation scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday by the task force will include a drug awareness video and information on methamphetamine.

There will also be information on the dangers of specific types of drugs, and indicators of drug use among teens.

The event takes place in the Arlington Performing Arts Center, 18821 Crown Ridge Blvd., Arlington.

Ambulance group greets volunteers

Darrington Volunteer Ambulance Association meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday at 1115 Seeman St.

The association needs more volunteers and invites those who are interested in serving to attend the meeting.

For more information, call 360-436-0357.
