Arlington High School hires football coach

Greg Dailer is the new head football coach at Arlington High School.

The hiring of Dailer, who this past season served as an assistant coach for the Eagles, was approved by the Arlington School Board on Monday night, Arlington High athletic director Allen Jefferson said.

Dailer replaces Tim Tramp, who resigned in late February after coaching Arlington for two seasons. Tramp guided the Eagles to a 7-13 record.

A math teacher at Arlington High, Dailer previously was a head prep football coach in Florida.

In other Arlington coaching news, Eagles wrestling coach Doug Byers has resigned, Jefferson said.
