Videos: New Coldplay, old Vampire Weekend and Death Cab live

Coldplay have announced dates for their North American tour, but so far, the group have no Seattle shows scheduled. The nearest the tour brings them right now is that gig in British Columbia.
I’d guess they’ll eventually come this way, but it’s hard to say when. In July, there’s a curious week-long gap in the group's schedule between their Arizona and Nevada shows. There's also a little breathing room before they head to BC in July. It’s possibly they’ll announce more shows to fill those holes.
If they don’t, it’s also possible they won't make it to the area until August or — yes — November, when they plan to shoot through Utah and Colorado. Sit tight.

Coldplay — “Violet Hill” — Video
I’m guessing this is the official video for the uber-group’s new single, “Violet Hill.” Chris Martin plays around with a magnifying glass and the group, dressed in pirate-ish garb, hit drums and bounce their bodies to the music.
Vampire Weekend — “Ladies of Cambridge” — Studio session
Vampire Weekend has a really tight live sound. I saw them during their most recent appearnce in Seattle, in April, and their songs sounded near studio-quality. Here, they play a B-side from the “Mansfard Roof” single. The song can be downloaded on iTunes, in case you’re curious.
Death Cab for Cutie - "I Will Possess Your Heart" - Live on David Letterman
Ben Gibbard is really letting that hair go crazy, isn’t he? Death Cab tear through the lead single from their great new album, “Narrow Stairs,” during an appearance on Letterman. They play the shortened version of this ode to a stalker; the song runs about eight and a half minutes on the album (and sometimes even on the radio).
