LIONS FOUNDATION

Donations support sight, hearing work

Donations to the recent Lions White Cane Days help support the vital missions of the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing. Last year the "eye bank," as it is often called, placed more than 2,800 corneas, making the Seattle-based eye bank the largest in the nation.

The Lions Foundation and Lions Clubs also completed more than 19,000 free health screenings for children, provided eyeglasses and refurbished hearing aids free for those who could not afford them and gave special project grants through Lions Clubs for local community sight and hearing needs. These and other programs make the Lions Northwest Foundation for Sight and Hearing and local Lions Clubs a vital contributor to the health and well being of our communities. Thank you.

White Cane Days donations can still be made by sending checks to Lions, P.O. Box 1243, Everett, WA 98206.
