Shannon Affholter has been named senior manager in the Wealth Services Group at Moss Adams. Affholter will focus on business succession planning. Affholter, who is serving his first term on the Everett City Council and has also served on the Everett Parks Board, previously worked in primary care with Merck and Co. for eight years.
Melodee Morris has been promoted to business development representative at 1st Security Bank of Washington. Morris has been with the bank for more than 13 years and most recently served as manager of the client service department. She is now responsible for building relationships with local companies and their employees.
Richard Blomberg has been named senior vice president and business development officer at Cascade Bank. Blomberg has more than 30 years of banking experience in Skagit County, and recently served as senior vice president of commercial lending and regional credit officer for another local bank. Blomberg will work out of Cascade's new branch in Burlington, which opened on May 1.
Jennifer Hansen has been named as business development manager at Pacific Crest Savings Bank. Hansen's responsibilities include business banking product development and relationship management. She previously served as a branch manager for eight years at BECU.

Honors
Allied Construction Associates of Everett has successfully completed construction of the SOU maintenance facility in Monroe and attained LEED silver level certification on the project. LEED certification is based on meeting energy and environmental performance criteria as outlined by the United States Green Building Council.
Group Health was ranked highest by J.D. Power and Associates in a new national survey of health plans for member satisfaction in the Northwest and second highest in the nation. The study measured member satisfaction for 107 health plans in 17 regions throughout the United States by examining seven key factors: coverage and benefits; choice of doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies; information and communications; approval processes; claims processing; insurance statements; and customer service. Group Health scored 778 on a 1,000-point scale to place second in the nation. Other Northwest plans rated include: Premera Blue Cross, 765; Providence Health Plan, 733; Regence Blue Shield, 738; Kaiser Health Plan, 732; and Blue Cross of Idaho, 695.
Eunjung Kim, associate professor at the University of Washington and volunteer pediatric nurse practitioner at Providence Everett Healthcare Clinic, is this year's winner of the William MacDonald Leadership and Personal Development Grant award, in conjunction with The Everett Clinic Foundation. Kim will use the $10,000 award for a project aimed at improving the mental health of school-age children in Snohomish County. The project will utilize focus groups to assess the needs of low-income parents with children ages 5 to 10. A parenting plan will then be developed and implemented to promote effective parenting practices.
The Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its annual citizen and junior citizen of the year awards. The awards have been handed out since 1982 to residents with a history of outstanding local volunteer service or who have made other significant contributions to the community. Winners will be honored at a chamber luncheon and in the Aquafest grand parade. Nomination forms are available online at www.lschamber.org or at the chamber office, Lake Stevens City Hall, Lake Stevens Library and Foster Press. Nominations must be submitted by June 16.

Aerospace Machinists District 751 seventh annual Flight for Sight fun run and walk to raise money for Guide Dogs of America is set for June 7 at the Boeing Activity Center, 6098 36th Ave. W., Everett. Registration is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The 1-mile walk, 5K and 10K run events start at 9:30 a.m. Registration before May 30 is $20 without a T-shirt or $25 with a T-shirt.
