Woman in critical condition after Bothell crash

BOTHELL -- A woman injured Monday afternoon in a car crash in Bothell remains in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle this morning, officials said.

The woman, 48, is being treated in the hospital’s intensive care unit, said Susan Gregg-Hansen, a hospital spokeswoman.

The woman, another adult and one child were injured Monday after a white Ford Mustang collided with a minivan just after 3 p.m. on a major thoroughfare in Bothell.

The woman was driving a minivan and pulled out of Third Avenue SE and on to S. 228th Street. There was a crash between the minivan and a Mustang, Bothell spokeswoman Kirsten Clemens said. Police are investigating if the Mustang was speeding.

The minivan flipped over and landed atop the Mustang's hood

A 13-year-old girl, a passenger in the minivan who is unrelated to the driver, was injured, but her condition was not critical, Clemens said. She was taken to Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. The driver of the Mustang, a 19-year-old man, was also taken to Evergreen Hospital, Clemens said. Their condition was not available Tuesday.
